Frequently asked questions
Good questions. Quick answers.
I've never played — how do I start?
Book a beginner class or drop into beginner-friendly open play. Paddles are available, and Coach in the House can point you to the right first session.
How do skill levels work?
Sessions are grouped Starter, Intermediate, and Advanced so you always get games at your level. Not sure where you fit? Ask Coach in the House.
What is open play?
Scheduled sessions where you rotate through games with players at your level — the fastest way to meet people and get lots of games in.
How do I reserve a court?
Book a private court online in under a minute — no app download required. Private courts are $70 per hour and fit up to 6 players. Members can also book through OpenDinks on the web or in the app.
How does membership work?
Three ways to play: a $40 Day Pass valid for 24 hours, purchased at the front desk; Player Credit (Pickles), with a $60 minimum load and $5–$15/hour play rates; or Annual Unlimited, with one year of unlimited play. Hourly rates vary by time. Annual payment options include Klarna financing from $91/month over 24 payments, subject to approval; interest may apply.
Can I get coaching?
Yes — group classes, private lessons, and free guidance from Coach in the House to plan your next step.
Do you offer junior pickleball programs?
Yes. Explore after-school clinics, camps and coaching in our Junior Programs hub on OpenDinks for current programs, age groups, schedules and registration.
What events do you run?
Leagues, ladders, challenge sessions, clinics, and social nights — plus local business booths on event days. Everything is posted on OpenDinks and our social channels.
Can I host a birthday party or business event?
Yes — book birthday parties, team events, and business gatherings right on OpenDinks, or email concord@piklab.ai and we'll help you plan it.
Do you offer junior memberships?
Yes — players 17 and under get a discounted Annual Unlimited rate: $109/month equivalent, billed annually at $1,308/year, plus a $129 one-time initiation fee. Contact us at (925) 578-3607 or concord@piklab.ai to enroll.
Can I pause or freeze my membership?
Annual Unlimited members can request a medical freeze of up to 60 days per membership year for a documented medical condition that prevents play. Approved freeze days extend your membership end date by the same number of days. Vacation, travel, or schedule conflicts aren't eligible. Contact us at concord@piklab.ai to request one.
What should I bring?
Court shoes and water. We have loaner paddles and balls — just show up ready to play.
Is the IPX Concord club closing?
No. PikLab Concord is the same operating club at the same location. The change is a new consumer brand, not a closure.
What happens to my IPX membership?
Your current membership remains valid under its existing terms.
What happens to my IPX credits and reservations?
Your existing credits, punches, account balance, and confirmed reservations remain valid.
I have an IPX membership — do I need to buy a new membership?
No. You do not need to repurchase anything because of the rebrand.
